Hi, it's me - Michele Greco!
based outside of philadelphia, pa

As a multifaceted Illustrator and Designer specializing in luxury illustration and design, my work is rooted in craft, detail, and storytelling. I create immersive visual worlds that sit at the intersection of fine art and design—pieces that feel as considered as they are expressive.
My practice moves fluidly across murals, textile design, specialty illustration, and editorial work, each offering a different scale and language for storytelling. I’m drawn to intricate composition, refined detail, and the quiet richness found in well-observed moments.
A global perspective, shaped by travel and cultural curiosity, is central to how I see and create. I’m inspired by the textures of place, the rhythm of daily life, and the subtle visual cues that define different environments. That sense of exploration runs through everything I make.
Across disciplines, my intention remains the same: to create work that feels elevated, intentional, and emotionally resonant—design that holds both beauty and narrative, grounded in a distinct and evolving point of view.
A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME
As a child growing up outside of Philadelphia, I would spend endless hours with my friends in the enchanting woods, immersing ourselves in imaginative tales of fairies and magical girls. It was during these formative years that my fascination with the supernatural and science fiction, coupled with a profound reverence for the mysteries of nature, ignited a spark within me and nurtured my passion for the arts. This unwavering devotion ultimately guided me to embark on a fulfilling career in illustration and the creative sphere.
Today, I draw inspiration from a variety of sources, including science fiction, fantasy, world culture, fashion, costume design, Japanese comics, symbology, mythology, and haute couture. I believe that by combining these diverse elements, I can create unique and compelling designs that capture the imagination of my audience.
My portfolio is varied because I am a multi-faceted designer with a wide range of interests. I thrive on the challenge of working with different subject matter and using my skillset to shape projects into something truly special.
In my downtime, I enjoy exploring new places, cooking, and spending time with my husband and our two rescue cats. These experiences inform my work and help me stay inspired and engaged with the world around me.
WHAT IS "WOLVES OF MARS?"
Wolves of Mars Studio was born from a personal alignment of symbolism, instinct, and identity. My birthday falls on November 19, placing me under Scorpio—a sign ruled by Mars, the planet associated with drive, intensity, transformation, and creative force. Mars represents action and fire, but also the courage to shape something new out of nothing.
The “wolf” reflects something more instinctual and psychological for me. Wolves are highly intelligent, deeply social yet independent, and operate with a quiet magnetism and loyalty that doesn’t need to announce itself. They move with intuition, awareness, and a sense of collective strength while still retaining individuality—qualities I’ve always felt drawn to, both in life and in creative work.
Together, “Wolves of Mars” became a way to describe a studio grounded in duality: instinct and ambition, emotion and precision, solitude and collaboration. It’s not just a name I chose because it sounded good—it reflects a tension I relate to and try to translate into my work: raw creative energy shaped into something intentional, elevated, and enduring.
